Roma Baran
Roma Baran (female) produced or co-produced Laurie's records through "Strange
Angels". She worked with a lot of folk artists, including the Kate and Anna
McGarrigle, The Roches, etc. I'm not sure about her other production credits
and my list is not meant to be at all comprehensive. She co-produced a
documentary about the music of Bernard Herrman, which was nominated for an
Oscar.
Roma gave up the music business a few years ago, went to law school and
became a public interest lawyer.
